Texting
Texting is my favorite thing to do. I text all day every day. One time i had 4,000 messages in only five days. Whenever my phone gets taken away I'm really sad because then i have nothing to do. In one day I can text about 521 messages. My favorite social network is either my phone or facebook.

Personal Metaphor
I am a magnet to the ball on defense.
I am a rock star when playing the drums.
I am a fearless warrior charging into battle.
I am a raft floating distant from everybody else.
I am a constant river flowing into a stream of consciousness.

The Clearing by Jesse Stuart
Have you ever had neighbors that you didn't like? In the Clearing by Jesse Stuart, that's how the main character's family felt about the Hinton's. The story "The Clearing" tells you about what farmers and their families have to do on a daily basis. The main characters family and the Hinton's were enemies in the beginning of the story but, they become good friends towards the end of the book. Have you ever had someone that you disliked a lot but, one day you become good friends?
Sometimes when you don't like somebody it's because you don't really know them. In one case in this show called Shake It Up. There are these two girls that have been friends for a really long time and they tell each other all their secrets, but one of the girls is dyslexic and her friend never knew that she was dyslexic. The main characters family knows nothing about the Hinton's so maybe all they need to do is go and talk to the Hinton's.
There are two lessons in this story. One is don't judge a book on its cover. Like if there's a new kid in school and you know nothing about him you can't just say he is so dumb, because you don't know anything about him. Another lesson is that your enemies can become your friend. Lets say in fourth grade you and your best friend have a big fight and you guys don't want friends anymore. Then in eighth grade you apologize and you guys become friends again.
In addition the story The Clearing by Jesse Stuart was an amazing story because of how the author described the scene. Jesse Stuart used words that made it easy to paint a picture in your head. The Clearing is now one of my favorite stories since I read it.

My Worse Chilhood Memory
Once upon a time there was a family of seven. The family's name is the Hoffmann's. They lived in Milwaukee in a small house. The parents only wanted four kids but instead they got three boys and two girls that are twins. Our parents loved the Jackson five and Snow White and cartoons so they always called us the Hoffmann five or the five stooges
One night while everybody was fast asleep there's a smash and then a thump. My parents wake up and there's a huge rock only about a foot away from my baby brothers head. The same thing happened again on Christmas Eve except this time through the living room window.
A couple weeks later my dad is driving home from work and we were watching some cartoons when suddenly the news comes on and there doing a story about a man getting hit by a fire truck in his car. The worst part was when my mom comes in she starred at the TV and said “That’s our van". We rushed to the emergency room where my dad lays in a bed with machines everywhere. One week later he is released from the hospital. That's when thing start to go down hill.
My mom and dad were constantly fighting over the stupidest things. Only two weeks later my dad goes to jail. My mom wouldn't tell us why. When he got out they got a divorce and three months later he is back in jail and my mom is never home. Luckily we have amazing grandparents. Since first grade i have been living with my grandparents and they have been taking care of us.
Back in 2009 on the fourth of July we were at a party and no one was home and my older brother wants to go home so he does but when he arrives he notices someone broke into our house. When the cops get there they tell our grandparents that the safe is missing. Our safe had over seven thousand dollars in it plus the money that we were saving for the dells and Florida. The cops found some blood and took it to do some DNA tests. When they called the officer said the man who broke into your house is your son which is my dad. He was nowhere to be found. A couple weeks later the same cop calls back and tells us that they found him and he is going to be sentenced with up to two years in jail. Sometimes he writes me letter but i never write them back.
We go to our mom's house every other weekend and my grandma, my sisters and my little brother only see him once every two months. Sometime this year he will be released. My older brother and I are still mad at our dad because last time he was released he promised us that this was the last time he was going to be in jail. When i was little my dad and i were really close like my mom would say no cookies at night but my dad always brought up two cookies one for him and one for me. Now me and him don't have the same bond as we used to.

Shoes
Shoes come in many different colors and sizes. I hate going shoe shopping unless if I can get sweet shoes like Adidas or Nike.Whenever i get new shoes i always ruin them right away on accident. I barley get new shoes so whenever i do they're usually really amazing. I love getting new shoes.

Penguins
Penguins are so cool to watch. Whenever I go to the zoo i always love to see the Penguins doing tricks. My favorite thing about them is how they can slide on their belly's. I wish i could slide on my belly. The thing that i don't get is how do Penguins stay warm? They have no fur and they're always diving in freezing cold water in Antarctica. I would hate being a Penguin because all they eat is raw fish....BLAHHHHHH.

Small Steps by: Louis Sachar
What would you do if you had an opportunity to double your money? Well in the book Small Steps by Louis Sachar, Theodore Johnson has the decision to either don't take this opportunity or gamble his money on this concert and hope that it is successful. Theodore had just been released from Camp Green Lake three months ago. He spent fourteen months in a dried up lake bed, where he did nothing except dig holes. Since Theodore was released he had already made eight hundred and fifty seven dollars. Theodor finally got his life was back on track.
The author Louis Sachar has a really good way of painting pictures in your head because he uses a lot of words that describe that describe what is going on. Like in one case when Theodor gave the mayor a hand shake Louis said, “Afraid of his own strength, Armpit tried not to grip the elderly woman’s hand too hard, and was a little taken by the firmness of her handshake”. Also Louis Sachar is also the author of the New York Times #1 bestseller Holes. The book Holes is when Theodor was still at Camp Green Lake. Then Small Steps talks about his life after he gets out of the camp.
There are three morals of Small Steps one of them is that if you are a bad person you can change. An example is that if you're a bully and you get in trouble that you have a choice to either become nicer or keep getting in trouble. The other moral is that no matter what you can always get your life back on track. For example if you sell drugs and you get busted by cops that when you get out jail you can get your life back on track. The last moral is that when you help someone good things happen and it makes you feel good. An example is when Theodor took Ginny too the concert.
Small Steps is mostly a love story with a pinch of action and hummer. The mode of literature is Irony because in the beginning it talks about why Theodor was sent to Camp Green Lake. Then in the end of the book someone dies. This book teaches you something about life and when something bad happens, it can turn into something really good like when Ginny and Theodor are at the concert they get busted for having counterfeit tickets but then they get to see the concert from backstage. Theodor’s life is still on track and he hopes to keep it that way.
