Papa's Parrot

What I'm talking about? Papa's Parrot is a short story. The story is about a boy living with his father in his candy shop and one day the boy doesn't go to the candy store anymore. That makes the dad lonely so he gets a parrot to replace the empty spot in his heart where his son was.

The moral lesson of the story is to always visit your family and don't forget about them. It is important to keep in touch with your family because one day someone that is really close to you like your grandma might pass away and you would not know because you aren't in touch with your family. Also if you have a relative that you haven't seen in a long time go visit them.

I can make connections from Papa's Parrot to my life because the boy kind of forgets about his dad and gets replaced by something else. For example my dad has been in jail for almost two years and I haven't talked to him since. But instead of replacing me with a Parrot he replaced me with drugs. Another connection is that when my dad replaced me for drugs he did it because he had an empty spot in his heart and thought that drugs would fill the emptiness but, it never will.

Harry feels really bad inside because he forgot about his dad and never stopped in the candy shop and said hi or anything like that. I feel bad for Harry because his own dad replaced him for a Parrot to fill in the empty spot but really he is just pushing Harry further and further away. The dad should call Harry and ask him to lunch so they can catch up.

My ABC poem By Kevin Hoffmann

A lot is happening right now
Because school is almost over
Continuing to be forced to work in class
Dumb lessons
Enormous amounts of homework
Figures the teachers are going to give us homework
Ghost hallways
  Horrifying lunches
I don't know how much more I can take
Just typing this is painful
Knowing that there only 5 and a half days left
Luckily I have my friends to talk to
Mostly in gym
Never in Robotics
Often in Science
Positive attitude is all you need
Quizzes are done with
Resource is still boring
Stuck in school like someone stuck in jail
Teachers torturing us more and more everyday
Unless if we are sick
  Videos still boring
Waiting for the last bell to ring
Xenon in the air
Yes school is almost over
Zipping down the hall when the last bell of the year rings

The Adventure at Mt. Olympus By Kevin Hoffmann

Once upon a time there was a boy who had super powers that even he didn’t know about. The boy’s name was Kevin. Kevin was super strong, funny, really fast, and extremely charming. One humid day he decided that he wants to take a trip to the haunted Mt. Olympus. So the next day he got into his Lamborghini Diablo, put his best CD in, turned the volume up all the way, and began to drive. It took about two hours to get there but he knew it was worth it. He finds a place to sleep and start looking around in the morning.
In the middle of the night there was a loud boom which made Kevin jump up out of bed and the weirdest thing happened. When he jumped out of bed a huge fire ball shot out of his hand. This was the first time that he discovered that he was different. He discovered he had super powers. Now back to the loud noise he heard that woke him up. Kevin went to look around his hands on fire but it didn’t hurt him. Then suddenly Kevin sees something out of the corner of his eye.
It looked like a bunch of snakes floating. “Floating snakes is that even possible?” he asked himself. He went to look behind a curtain. Right once his head poked around the curtain he saw a girl with snakes on her head. Kevin tried to remember who that was. Then it hit him the girl’s name is Medusa. Medusa is one of the meanest Greek gods ever. If Kevin looked her in the eyes he knew he would be turned into stone. There was a piece of a mirror on the ground and he made Medusa look at herself through the mirror which made her turn into stone.
Then out of nowhere Hades, Zeus, and Poseidon bust open the door to find their sister turned into stone. This made them furious and they started to use their super powers. Hades shot fire balls at me, Zeus shot lightning bolts at me, and Poseidon shot water at me. Suddenly I shoot a fire ball and it hits Poseidon and destroys him. Then a water ball forms in my hand and zooms toward Hades and gets him in the face and destroys him. Lastly a twister forms and sucks Zeus right up and destroys him.
I walk back to my car, hop in, and speed away. I tell myself I am never going back to Mt. Olympus ever again.

Music

Music is pretty much my life. If music was taken away from me I don't really know what I would do. My favorite kind of music is almost any kind but I don't like old time country and jazz. My favorite singers are either Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa, or Eminem. My favorite song is Look at me now. I like it because Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, and Busta Rhymes are all in it. One day I want to be a singer.

Math

Math is my second favorite subject in school because it is easy to me. My favorite unit in math is Geometry because I like working with all the different shapes. My least favorite part of math is the homework. Sometimes it is really easy though. Mrs. Grandlich is my math teacher. Nick Roberts and Eli Dorsey are both in my math class. I have math first hour everyday so I'm usually really tiered. One time I actually fell asleep and got yelled at to stand up. Note to self..... DON'T FALL ASLEEP IN MATH.

Gym

Gym is my favorite subject in school. I love gym because it's really fun and I love to play sports. I have had an A the whole year in gym. My gym teacher is Mr. Rapp. Mr. Rapp is retiring this year. He always yells at me, Nick Roberts, and Daniel Tollar because he thinks we mess around to much. Mrs. Kelly is really nice to us though. My favorite game in gym is trench ball. My favorite unit is flag football.

Koenigsegg CCGT

My favorite car is the Koenigsegg CCGT. The Koenigsegg CCGT is one of the fastest cars in the world. The top speed i over 250 m.p.h and can go from 0-62 in 3.1 seconds. The price for this car is about $650,000. It was made in 2006.
