Point of View "My Brother Sam is Dead' 12/08/2011

Author’s Note: I am writing this piece to show you a different point of view from the book “My Brother Sam is dead.”

If your brother and your dad were fighting on different sides in a war, what side would you be on? That’s the question that Tim Meeker has to answer in the book “My Brother Sam is dead.” How do you think the dad felt about having to fight against his own son in the war?

From the dad’s point of view he feels bad that he has to fight his son in the war, but he has no other choice. While from Sam’s point of view it seems like his dad is doing it on purpose because he was made at Sam for fighting against the side that his father is on. From Tim’s point of view it seems like Sam is fighting against father so he can make him mad.

The dad is being lied to by both his son’s Sam and Tim. Sam is lying to the dad about fighting on the same side as his father when he’s fighting against him. Tim is lying to the dad about going fishing when he’s really  running  around for some old man .If I was the dad and I found out that my kids were lying to me, I would be pretty mad. What dad wouldn’t be mad at their kids if they were lying to him?
